After the marketing arm of Crossroads was assembled in the 90’s, a label was needed for promising song writer/artists and emerging Independent artists. Crossroads Records was born! With the familiar name of the company doubling as the label name, artists have an home base identity that enables them a reputable place to grow their ministries from. Sprouting artists such as The Crist Family have their beginnings here.

Created in 1992, this label was launched with top Gospel artists, The Kingsmen and The McKameys. Legendary Eldridge Fox and Mickey Gamble of then Horizon Music Group were able to put these two groups together in what would prove to be the beginning of Crossroads’ status as a Southern Gospel record industry leader.

Many Gospel Bluegrass artists were looking for a true record company with the ability to properly market bluegrass gospel music.  Subsequently, Mickey Gamble and Tim Surrett formed this label, debuting Tim Surrett’s first gospel bluegrass release, featuring guest artists such as Karen Peck Gooch and Steve Gully. This label has also been home to Tony Rice, and Doyle Lawson & Quick Silver, among many others.

Pinnacle Records was the original home for such artists as Karen Peck & New River, Teddy Huffam & The Gems and Anthony Burger and was the company’s launch pad for bringing The Kingsmen and The McKameys together on Horizon Records back in 1992. Crossroads revived the Pinnacle label in 2008 as a home for promising new artists in the gospel industry. This label enables emerging artists a place to launch their ministry, capitalizing on Crossroads’ far reaching impact and influence within the gospel music industry.
